As members of God’s family we share our concern for one another, we share our resources with those in need, we share God’s promise that he will always take care of us and meet all our needs. Confidence in God leads to contentment and lasting peace. In this way we can always stay at rest in God’s promises no matter what we face here in this world as we press on toward our real home in heaven.

Point to Ponder: Sharing is hard! As sinful human beings, we find any excuse possible not to share our possessions, time, or talents with people. But Christ shared himself with us! Because we have Christ himself, who continually strengthens our faith through his love, we are able to be content in all situations and share with others.
Treasure to Share: “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:12-13).
Challenge to Complete: Think of one thing you don’t usually like to share with people (for example, perhaps you struggle with giving people your time or one of your possessions, or perhaps you are hesitant to share your talents in order to help people), and share it with someone else. Ask a family member or friend to ask you next Sunday how your “sharing challenge” went this week!
