Victory News – A Grand Sunday to Share the Gospel!

Schmiege helping the kids make a cross necklace out of two nails at Easter For Kids It was on Palm Sunday almost a decade ago now when our church, Victory of the Lamb, celebrated our first community-wide grand opening at the Polonia Soccer Club. That was a pretty special day. A day I’ll never forget. We packed that one big room at Polonia about as tightly as we could fit. It was as if God knew how many people we…

Victory News – Easter For Kids Weekend!

Where Vicar Caleb will be hanging out tomorrow At this moment, our entire ministry center is being transformed into ancient Jerusalem for our “Road to Resurrection” Easter for Kids outreach event this Saturday. Right now we’re expecting about 100 kids from our church and community, but there’s still time and some room if you have yet to register your kids ages 3-11. There will be music, games, lunch, and five destinations for kids to experience the powerful moments that surrounded…

Victory News

Dear Friends,  “That day Herod and Pilate became friends– before this they had been enemies” (Luke 23:12). Frenemies! Sounds a lot like the political process, the debates and the backroom deals that go on today. People who spoke highly of each other four years ago are enemies. Enemies four years ago are now friends. Thankfully the way friendship with God works is very different…and, dare I say it, scandalously so. Find out what I mean as we continue our Lent…

Victory News – “Risen” movie and Easter for Kids

Koine rehearsing before our Ash Wednesday service The last couple weeks we’ve had special services and seen many new guests join us for worship. Just over 300 people worshipped with us on Ash Wednesday as the band Koine led us in their “Footsteps to the Cross” service. It was a moving experience for me to get to read Scripture beneath their music and put myself in the shoes of some of the characters in the story of our Savior’s journey…

Upcoming Worship Services

Dear Friends, Jesus Cares Ministries assists congregations in reaching out to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and their communities. For our worship this coming Sunday February 21, Pastor Joel Gaertner, the National Director of Jesus Cares Ministries, and Staff Minister Bill Truebenbach will be leading us in the Jesus Cares simplified service “Worship at the Cross” for our worship. The service format is similar to our own but a bit shorter. So right after the service itself…

Footsteps to the Cross with Koine

Dear Friends, Tomorrow evening, February 10th, at 6:30 pm, you’re all invited to experience “Footsteps to the Cross” – a musical narrative service arranged by the band Koine. In a moving way they’ll weave together Scripture, music, and environmental projection to highlight the final steps of our Savior as He journeyed to the cross in our place for our sins. This will be a powerful way to begin our Lenten journey. All are welcome! Please consider using social media or…

Victory News – Open Forums

This Sunday we’ll be wrapping up our All Things New series as we give thanks for the “new vision” that Jesus gave his first disciples and us. It is a new vision that can sustain us along our journey through life when there seems so often to be no happy ending here on earth. All are invited to join us for worship Sunday morning at 9 or 10:45. Victory Kids during both. Open Forum This Sunday After 2nd Service –…

Victory News – A Whole New Church

Doesn’t everybody spend their Sunday morning putting together new shelves before church? We’re building a whole NEW church! Well, not exactly, at least not according to what you’re probably thinking. We just built a new ministry center after all. But the Holy Spirit continues to build Christ’s Church through our gospel witness. And through this gospel message and the means of God’s grace he is making new creations out of people’s hearts and lives—including our own.“Therefore, if anyone is in…

Victory News – What a Weekend!

Pastor Mark Wagner guest preaching for our dedication service Despite the cold it was sure a fantastic weekend for our contractor thank-you and our special dedication service. Special thanks to our District Mission Board Chairman, Pastor Mark Wagner, for preaching—“Let THIS be about the Lord’s great love!” I also personally appreciated and took to heart his reminder that our new building isn’t the end. It’s just the beginning. Now we’re really getting started again! And it was sure wonderful to…

Bible 101 is the starting point for anyone looking to learn more about God, anyone who wants to see for themselves what the Bible says, anyone interested in being a member of our church,…

Victory News – Dedication Sunday!

Nine years ago a little mission church started with less than nine people. We called it “Victory of the Lamb” because we wanted it to be all about Jesus. We’ve worshiped in a soccer club and a cinema. We’ve held Bible studies at a health club, a bank, restaurants, coffee shops, houses, apartments, condo association clubhouses, a warehouse and a computer software company conference room. We’ve held outreach events in local parks, at the library, and in parades. We’ve canvassed…
