To Our Friends
What do you see when you see our community? Or, just as importantly, what do you think members of our community see when they see our church?
Do you realize that no matter where you look, you’ll never find someone who isn’t loved by Jesus? You will never look at someone, never talk to someone, never pass by someone, never be in a crowded stadium with a whole bunch of someones, never be in our community with thousands of someones, and find a single person that Jesus doesn’t unconditionally love and want to live with him forever in heaven.
We are Blessed
God has blessed us richly throughout the history of Victory of the Lamb. From our humble beginnings in a bar, to the major upgrade at the movie theater, to now being able to gather each week in our own building, our church was built with the sacrifice of blood, sweat, tears, love, and hard-earned dollars of our supporters. We are blessed every week to be able to put our whole hearts into worshiping our Savior Jesus, who is the Savior of the world!
Not Just a Building
When we built our building, we knew that the church is not a building. It is people who are linked to Jesus by grace through faith. These people of the church are linked:
- to one another by Jesus through the Great Commandments to love God and love one another;
- to the community by Jesus through the Great Commission. This commission tells us to go make disciples of all nations by sharing the great message of Jesus Christ. This is so that they too can be linked to the future glory of God’s everlasting kingdom; and
- to an out-of-this-world future by Jesus’ perfect life, innocent death, and eye-opening victorious resurrection.
Did you ever stop to think that what God leads us to do in our day-to-day lives can make an eternal and extraordinary difference in the lives of others? The church and community were never meant to be separate. When we see our community, we are to see people for whom Jesus died. When our community sees us, they are to see the loving heart, hands, and attitude of Jesus and hear Him speak to them in patient love. Since we are linked to Jesus by grace, we will intentionally link Jesus to our community, one another and the future.
An Opportunity to trust God
You know why I am excited about this opportunity? We will need to trust in God. And as God blesses you, I invite you to join in this opportunity for generosity to be linked to God, our community, and our future!
Sharing Christ’s Victory,
