It’s not often that Valentine’s Day comes right after Ash Wednesday like it did this week. Anybody else think that seemed a little odd?
But in reality the two days have something in common: They’re both about love. That’s right. Love.
I posted yesterday on our Facebook page that Jesus Christ is Love Come Down. All the lesser loves of life are contained in and prompted by him whose restless love could not rest until he made us his own forever. So whether you had a happy Valentine’s Day yesterday or a horrible one, God wants you to know the love of Jesus Christ who lived, suffered, died, and rose for you!
That by the way is what our church, Victory of the Lamb, is all about. The Bible says, “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1 John 4:10).
That’s why I’m inviting you to join us as we begin a new sermon series this Sunday. It’s called, “It Must Happen This Way.” It’s about how God, in his heart of love, is determined to have us back.
Haven’t been to church in a while? That’s OK. Now’s the perfect time to give it another try.
Come this Sunday to Showtime Cinema here in Franklin at 9:30 am for our service. Come early if you’d like to grab a bite to eat and a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate in the lobby free of charge.
Peace in Jesus,
