Sermons on Ephesians (Page 2)
High Expectations
We all struggle with sin, but we deceive ourselves into thinking we don’t. Sometimes, the world around us tricks us into thinking we’re basically good people. But, we are by nature sinful. We need to confess our sins to God because confession brings cleansing, healing, and forgiveness. God knows all our sins, and that’s why he sent Jesus, whose sacrifice was enough to pay for them all.Sermon Text: Ephesians 2:8-10
Empty Hands
When it seems as though we never have enough, the empty tomb is a reminder of how rich we really are. Look at all the spiritual blessings that you have right now in Christ Jesus. Jesus means contentment in the midst of whatever life situation we find ourselves in. Scriptures: Acts 24:10-21, Luke 24:13-25 Sermon Text: Ephesians 1:3-14
Sovereignty
Who is in ultimate control of our lives and our destiny? If it’s us, we’re in trouble. There’s tremendous comfort for us in life and in death knowing that Jesus is King. Text: 2 Thessalonians 1:3-12
Cornerstone
When Jesus ascended into heaven he became the solid, sure, and colossal cornerstone upon which the Holy Spirit as God’s construction worker is building the Church out of living stones like us.
