Miracles: Nothing is Impossible

Big Idea

We are so accustomed to the world we live in that we often fail to see the miracle of everyday life. In this sermon series, we will learn and understand the miracles of God. As we study these stories, we will be encouraged and inspired by the power of God’s love to transform our lives and meet our deepest needs. God continues to work miracles in our lives, healing our hearts and satisfying our souls. Whether we are struggling with illness, addiction, or despair, or simply seeking to deepen our faith and understanding of God’s ways, the miracles of Jesus offer us hope and assurance that nothing is impossible with God. Because of Christ’s power and promise we can continue to live with an enduring hope.

April 16, 2023: The Miracle of Life

As we reflect on the miracle of life, we will explore the beauty of creation and the power of God’s love for us. April 23, 2023: The Miracle of Preserving Life

Jesus not only is the author of life; he also is the preserver of life. The preservation of life is a fundamental value that reflects God’s love for His creation. The Bible teaches us that human life is sacred and should be protected at all costs. This means not only refraining from actions that may harm others, but also actively seeking to preserve and promote life in all its forms. In this sermon, we will understand how Jesus preserves our lives in miraculous ways like he did when he fed the 5,000. We will also learn what this means for us and our time on earth.

April 30, 2023: The Miracle of Healing

Because of the corruption and sinfulness of this world, our bodies breakdown and eventually we die. And yet, Jesus sometimes heals our bodies in miraculous ways, pointing us to our final and ultimate healing at the resurrection. In this sermon, we will learn about the miraculous healing of a man who was born blind and how this miracle not only symbolizes physical healing, but also the spiritual enlightenment that comes with belief in Jesus.

Religions, cults, and different ideologies have risen and fallen throughout time. Yet, Christianity has stood the test of time. The Church that was born through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit continues to grow and fill the earth with the kingdom of God. In this sermon, we will learn about how miracle of the Christian church demonstrates how God works through His people to accomplish His purposes and bring about His kingdom and what that means for us as a family of believers who are called to continue the work of the early church.

All of Jesus’ miracles are ultimately pointing ahead to the final and greatest miracle, the resurrection of the living and the dead. We can be confident that Jesus will fulfill this miracle because of his power over his own death and his glorious resurrection.
