The Big Idea

Baptism is one of the greatest gifts God has given his church. It provides incredible peace and encouragement for God’s people. There is power available to us in our baptism that is vital for everyday living and, frankly, for our spiritual survival. Yet, it’s so easy for us, in the daily grind of life, to forget that this peace and power is there for us. In this series we want to gain a clear understanding of what baptism is and how we can plug into its power in our daily journey.

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:3-7).
