Steadfast through Persecution
Act II – Staying Steadfast through Persecution Stephen’s murder proves faithfulness leads to suffering. Yet, God was still at work in the suffering, bringing the gospel to new places, and fulfilling Acts 1:8 through Acts 8:1. In the same way, we don’t need to fear suffering and persecution, because we trust that Jesus’ name makes great gains through our pains. Love…Fights
Forty days in the wilderness without food. Nailed to a cross and left to die. Does God really love me? Does God really care? Or am I truly in this all alone? Yes, the temptation is often there to give up on a relationship when we don’t feel the love. Love, however, refuses to throw in the towel, love does not give up. Love fights to hold on to what it knows and believes! Mark 1:12-15; Mark 15:34
Surprised by Grace (By Grace Alone)
If we were to get what we deserve, we’d be in sad sorry shape. Part of us doesn’t want to believe that, but a little honest reflection and we know it’s true. Where would we be if God were not the God of immeasurable grace?
