Honor Those in Authority
The Fourth Commandment directs us in how to treat our parents: Honor your father and your mother. Our sinful nature often leads us to disrespecting our parents and other authority figures. But God wants us to serve, obey, and love those He puts in authority over us. All parents, governments, bosses, and other leaders were put in position by God. Worship the One True God
The First Commandment God gives us is this: You shall have no other gods. God knows our hearts tend to stray away from Him. Because of sin, we find ourselves elevating things like money, careers, and talents to the position that only God can hold in our lives.
