Welcome to Victory: Mission

Before Jesus ascended into Heaven after his resurrection, he gave his disciples their mission, “You will be my witnesses… to the ends of the earth,” (Acts 1:8). Jesus wasn’t just talking to the disciples; he was talking to us. We are called to reach people with Christ’s victory, sharing the good news of Jesus’ resurrection with all people. This is our mission at Victory. We share Jesus in church every week, but most importantly in our communities and day-to-day interactions…

Everyone’s Welcome To the Table

David wrote in Psalm 23, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.”  Jesus invites us to the Lord’s table where we gather to eat his true body for the forgiveness of sins.  Christians gather regularly around the table at potlucks and family dinners to fellowship together and encourage each other.  And then, there’s heaven. Generosity in Mission

Our building is an important aspect of our church; we use our facilities to worship and grow in faith with one another. But, our mission doesn’t stop at the end of our driveway. In the same way, you might consider yourself under-qualified for the mission of Jesus’ Church, but God loves to be glorified through unexpected servants. Acts 9:1-20

Transformed

Jesus gave a mission to his followers left on earth to share the good news with all creation and proclaim Jesus as King. In the same way, the Ascended Jesus is sending every member of his Church on a mission to transform lives through the message of his grace. Acts 1:1-11

The One to Follow (Purpose)

There are many different philosophical life-views out there; none as compelling and life-hanging as Jesus’ call: Follow me! Sermon Text: Matthew 4:12-23

Body Building

The Holy Spirit deals out spiritual gifts just as they are needed for the well-being of Christ’s church. That means that every person is essential.

Giving Up Our Rights

The church joyfully gives up its preferences if that will allow us to meet the perceived needs of those outside the church because God’s greatest desire is that all people come to know Jesus as we know him.
