Have Integrity

Through the Seventh Commandment, God tells us: You shall not steal. When we steal from others or take in another dishonest way, we are not only harming our communities; we are harming our relationship with God. In the Fifth Commandment, God tells us: You shall not murder. Jesus expands this to include those thoughts, attitudes, and actions towards others which are done with ill intent. When we help and support our neighbors in every physical need, we are fearing and loving God. Through this commandment, God teaches us to treat all people as His children. God’s people are moved by the vision Nehemiah shares to rebuild the temple. But they don’t stop there. They gave up everything to meet the needs of the poor, shared meals together, and grew in faith as a united group of believers. Structuring the Supports: Love Your Neighbor

We love and serve one another, not because we feel guilted into it or because we have to, but because Christ’s love compels us to do so.  Through serving, forgiving, leading, and loving others with a pure and selfless heart, we can show our neighbors (family, friends, co-workers, etc.) the love of Jesus. This is possible only because of the work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts.
