Hope for the Future

As we look into the future, the battles and struggles of life are real. From sickness to relationship issues to stress, they all take a toll on us. But Jesus brings you a hope that sets you free from the handcuffs of hurt, from the chains of chaos, from the Devil’s discouragement and sure death. This hope is an eternal hope for the future that is out of this world. Sermon Text: Jeremiah 29:11

Hope Is Here (Christmas Eve)

Some people who read the Christmas story of the birth of Jesus think it sounds made-up. However, as Christian believers, as those who believe in Jesus Christ and the hope He brings, we realize that, ultimately, in the most unbelievable moments, Jesus is not just a story. In the craziest of situations, in the times when it seems like there is no way the situation could change, we realize that Jesus is hope! The birth of that special baby on…

Hope is Real

There is real transforming power in realizing that hope is not merely a concept that glosses over the pain of life. Hope is real. When hope becomes real to us, we can see and experience its benefits. It provides a substance to that which is not seen. Often, life can feel dull and empty. However, as hope becomes real, our lives take on a new meaning, new concept, and quite a new purpose. Hope Changes Everything

God promises grace to His people, but grace doesn’t mean everything is going to be easy. Sometimes, our lives are going to be difficult. If we are not careful, we will only see life through the lens of our circumstances. However, hope brings about a new perspective and focal point. It allows us to see our lives and our situations from a different perspective. Hope has the power to change everything. Even though in many instances the circumstances do not…

Hope Changes Me

When we allow ourselves to think that where we are is always where we will be, we lose hope. We lose a sense of determination and confidence in the future. But what creates this hope in the future is the fact that God makes us promises that He will be with us, He will guide us, and He will bless us if we stay strong in His promises. There are many circumstances that attempt to rob us of our hope:…

Hope is Coming

Sometimes in a season of waiting in life, we feel forgotten. We feel as if God lost our address and does not even know where we are. However, we must remind ourselves that hope is coming. As we enter the season of Advent, let us track hope as it arrives into the lives of some of the key people in the birth narrative of Jesus. We will find out that God will never leave us or forget us. Hope is…

Victory Core Values: Generosity

In the early church, when the people experienced a famine, Barnabas and Paul demonstrated generosity. They gathered an offering to help the people affected by the famine. They gave the little they had to help their brothers and sisters in Christ. At Victory, we have a culture of generosity that allows us to meet our needs as a church but also reach out into our community to share the love of Christ through acts of service and financial giving. Sermon…

Core Values: Pursuing Excellence

The Apostle Paul pursued excellence. As best he could, he preached the truth in a way that everyone in his audience could understand. He knew that Jesus was the only one who could achieve perfection. Yet, Paul worked tirelessly to reach people with Jesus. We give God our first and our best, pursuing excellence in all we do to be positive representatives of His Kingdom. Core Values: Connected

As Peter began his ministry, the Holy Spirit told Peter to connect with the Gentiles. This was a radical directive, because, according to the Jewish people, the Gentiles were unclean and not of God. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, all people are forgiven children of God. At Victory, we believe the love of Jesus compels us to evaluate and create new ways to effectively communicate the Gospel.  The Gospel does not change, but our culture changes constantly. This includes staying connected…

Joyful and Fun

Worshiping Jesus isn’t always easy. It means sacrifice. It may even lead to persecution. And yet, we can worship the Lord with joy, even in the face of persecution, because God gives us strength and hope. At Victory, we share the joy of faith honestly, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. In worship and throughout everything we do, we find ways to share Jesus with joy and fun. Welcoming – Victory Core Value

The early Christians didn’t have worship spaces with electricity, heat, and plumbing. But they did have each other. They gave up everything to meet the needs of the poor, shared meals together, and grew in faith as a united group of believers. When we say one of our core values is to be welcoming, we mean that we share life together through worship, small groups, serving, and meeting the needs of the people in our church and our community. Sermon…

Welcome to Victory: Mission

Before Jesus ascended into Heaven after his resurrection, he gave his disciples their mission, “You will be my witnesses… to the ends of the earth,” (Acts 1:8). Jesus wasn’t just talking to the disciples; he was talking to us. We are called to reach people with Christ’s victory, sharing the good news of Jesus’ resurrection with all people. This is our mission at Victory. We share Jesus in church every week, but most importantly in our communities and day-to-day interactions…
