A Day to Claim God’s Promises

A Day to Claim God’s Promises

In my baptism God graciously and powerfully worked faith in my heart. That faith has a whole storehouse of promises that I have the privilege of coming back to and laying hold of as often as I need to throughout my life.

Scriptures: Acts 2:29-39Titus 3:3-7John 3:1-8Psalm 34

Sermon Text:  Titus 3:3-7

Take Home and Apply

Think: How much credit can you take for being born? None. So how much credit can you take for being reborn through holy baptism? Nada. And that’s why the promises of baptism are so comforting. Baptism gives us blessings because God’s the one at work!

Share: “But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:4-5).

Challenge: When was your “rebirthday?” Find out. Reclaim the promises God made to you at your baptism. If you haven’t been baptized, ask Pastor Ben about his baptism class to learn how you can be baptized.
