God promised that he would send a forerunner who would prepare the way for the coming Savior by proclaiming our need for deliverance. How is God preparing your heart for your Deliverer?

My Next Steps
Tension: Are you ready for Christmas? When asked that question, we begin to experience all kinds of stress because of the shopping and decorating and baking that still has to get done. But none of those activities really help us get ready for Christmas.
Connect: Jesus makes us truly ready for Christmas when we he works in our hearts a willingness to acknowledge our great spiritual need and see that what we need for Christmas more than anything is him.
Treasure: “But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior” (Titus 3:4-6).
Challenge: Find a few minutes every day from now until Christmas to let Jesus speak to your heart about the true meaning of this holy day. Then join us Christmas Eve at 6:00 pm at the gym of St Paul’s Muskego for our joint Christmas Eve service with The Bridge at St. Paul’s.
