It’s Who You Know

It’s Who You Know

Luther saw the world becoming more and more evil. It was a sign that the end was near. It was also all the more reason to make sure everyone had the confidence that they knew the One who can bring us safely through these end times.

Scriptures: Jeremiah 18:1-11; Revelation 14:6,7; Mark 13:5-11; Psalm 46

Sermon Text: Mark 13:5-11

My Next Steps

Point to Ponder: The Word of God is what makes a house of worship worthy.

Treasure to Share: “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth” (Psalm 46:10).

Action to Take: When it feels like the world is coming apart at the seams and your life is smack dab in the middle of it, run to your only refuge and strength: The Lord God Almighty! How can you do this? By reading God’s Word. For example, find and read Psalm 46 in the Bible and bookmark it as a place to return to seek God as your refuge and strength. Download the Bible app (it’s free!) if you don’t have a Bible of your own.

Spend some time especially chewing on Psalm 46:10. What is so comforting about this verse when going through times of trouble and turmoil?
