Justice for All

Justice for All

Talk of a final day of judgment has a tendency to elicit fear in the human heart. The conscience knows the truth. We’re guilty. In that light justice seems to be the last thing anyone would want. But we know God’s justice in Christ. Because of Jesus’ substitutionary death we have been declared righteous in God’s sight. For us the verdict is “innocent.” Bring it on!

Scriptures: Malachi 4:1-3; Hebrews 9:24-28; John 5:19-30; Psalm 90

My Next Steps

Point to Ponder: Some people have near death experiences and it changes the way they live. You’ve had a near eternal death experience. How will it change how you live?

Treasure to Share: “I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!” -Job 19:25, 27

Action to Take: Tell someone about how you don’t fear death. It doesn’t matter if they are a Christian or not. Just pick one person in your life and, sometime this week, bring up how awesome it is that the message of your eternal LIFE is certain.
