What value does my life bring to this world? Am I accomplishing anything meaningful? Struggling with the sin inside, living in a self-centered society, it’s way too easy for us to go through life accomplishing little of lasting value. When Jesus is the Lord of my life, that all changes.

My Next Steps
A Thought to Ponder: The One who made our hearts is the only One who can truly mend them. What fresh perspective has God given you today about your purpose in life?
A Treasure to Share: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-24).
A Challenge for the Week: “Return home and tell how much God has done for you” (Luke 8:39). This challenges implies two things: 1) Describe in your own words what Jesus has done for you. 2) Actively share your story with others where you live, where you work, or where you go to school so that they can learn what Jesus has done for them too. Consider: The restored man from Luke 8:26-39 may have had a limited theological education, but what he lacked in theological knowledge was replaced by the personal experience of his contact with Jesus.
