Sad Truth: Many people in the world don’t know who Jesus is and what he has done. Many people misunderstand who Jesus is, what he has done, and what that means for the world. And many people simply don’t care who Jesus is and what he has done.

Your Story (and mine too!): Every single one of us was part of that “many” at one time or another in our lives—we were all enemies of God! But through Jesus God chose to reconcile you to himself—through Jesus he chose to make peace between himself and us by making us perfect in his sight. Because of Jesus, we are no longer enemies of God!

Treasure: “Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.” (Colossians 1:21-22)

“Who is Jesus?” Challenge: Re-read Colossians 1:15-23 and write down 5 different statements answering the question “Who is Jesus?” What is Jesus’ relationship with the world and with you? What has Jesus done for the world and for you? How is Jesus still active in the world and in your life? And then…look for opportunities to share with people who Jesus really is!
