My Next Steps
Point to Ponder: Every religion in the world besides Christianity says that our good works are a way we can earn some kind of reward—maybe even eternal life. But Christianity is different. Christianity says, “It’s not about you. It’s not about what you do. It is all about what God has done for you. ”
Treasure to Share: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:8-10
Challenge: Look at Ephesians 2:1-10 and see how many different phrases you can find that show that we are saved not by anything that we do, but only because of things God has done.
