Victory of the Lamb (Victory) is thrilled to announce its support of Marisa and Kyle Heise as they prepare for the adventure of a lifetime, becoming missionaries in Cebu, Philippines, through the Friends Network. In just a few months, the Heises will be welcoming a new baby and packing up their life in Wisconsin to head overseas in January to share the love of Jesus with a whole new community.
Through Victory’s Mission Forward fund, they have already contributed $10,000 toward the mission, but the congregation isn't stopping there. Victory Kids, the church's children's ministry, is inviting every family in the congregation to host a lemonade stand in their own neighborhood now through the end of September, turning driveways and sidewalks into launching pads for a global mission.
"Mission Forward is all about reaching one more person, and the Heises becoming missionaries in the Philippines is an incredible opportunity for us to do this on a global level," said Lead Pastor Bill Limmer.
Every participating family gets a ready-to-go lemonade stand kit, so all they have to bring is the neighborhood spirit. As stands pop up on porches and corners across the area, Victory will share highlights on its social media channels through September.
Every cup poured supports the Heise family's mission in Cebu, where their work will center on building genuine relationships within the community.
"We feel truly humbled to serve as the 'boots on the ground' in the Philippines, and we are thankful for the support and community that we’ve received through Victory," the Heise family shared. "The harvest is ripe, and people are eager to open their Bibles and learn about their Savior."
