Isn’t God amazing! His generosity knows no bounds. King David said in Psalm 23 the same thing that most of us can say when we look inside our refrigerators and cupboards, “my cups overflows.” Isn’t God amazing! The generosity of his grace and mercy knows no bounds. The book of Isaiah shares this truth about God and our relationship with God, “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isn’t God amazing! His love and blessing move us to love and bless others with the love and blessings that we have received from him! #BecauseofJesus
On Thanksgiving Eve our worshiping families were given the offering! Some received $5, some $10, some $20, some $50 and some $100 so they might meet a need or bless someone! #BecauseofJesus For those of you who were able to be at worship on Thanksgiving Eve, how’s it going? Remember: be creative, have fun, work together if you like, and don’t worry about doing the “perfect thing.” Just meet a need or bless someone with love and joy. It will be all good! Remember to share your story with us on social media using the hashtag #BecauseofJesus or email me or Pastor Ben. If you would like to see the Thanksgiving Eve message again or share it, here it is.
Last Sunday’s message by Pastor Ben rocked! Lumosity + Generosity x Jesus In the message Pastor Ben encouraged us to use our brains wisely so that we can be the best possible stewards of all the resources God gives us. We can then be as generous as possible with those resources to advance the cause of Christ and the gospel.
Pastor Ben will be “wrapping up” our Generosity series this Sunday with account about a widow who didn’t have much but gave it all. Generosity is exciting because you don’t have to have a lot to be generous. Generosity is a matter of the heart moved by God’s love! See you Sunday morning at 8:30 or 10:15 at Victory. If you are out of town be sure to join us online.
Pastor Ben’s Call – On November 17, Pastor Ben received a call to serve as the Lead (English speaking) Pastor to Divine Savior, in Doral, FL. Receiving a Call is a blessing from God because it allows a person to consider their present field of ministry and a potential field of work! But it is also a time of great inner struggle, of ups and downs, and wrestling with God. Keep Pastor Ben and his family, our Victory of the Lamb family, and the Divine Savior family in your prayers as Pastor Ben deliberates his two calls (ours and the one to Divine Savior).
Feel free to encourage Pastor Ben with how you have witnessed God working through him and his family here at Victory of the Lamb! Editor’s note: I am praying that God will lead him to stay and continue to grow our Savior’s ministry here in Franklin with great joy! 🙂
