PASTOR’S MESSAGE
Hi Friends,
Road signs don’t seem that important… until they are. When Jacky and I were on our intern year, we lived in Vassar, Michigan. After the Christmas Day service, we hopped in our car and began our trip back to Milwaukee to spend the holiday with her family.
It was an uneventful trip, except that I missed the sign for I-94 West. I found I-94 but not I-94 West. We were going east instead of west. So even though we wanted to go to Milwaukee, we were heading for Detroit. My first hint was I saw a mileage sign telling me how many miles we were from Detroit. My second hint was the next mileage sign that enlightened me to the fact that we were now closer to Detroit than before.
Have you ever missed a road sign? Or maybe missed a sign from a loved one? This weekend as we open God’s Word, we are going to see God give us an unmistakable sign and an amazing gift!
I look forward to worshiping with you this weekend at the Ministry Center or online Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am.
Sharing Christ’s victory,
Pastor Bill

VICTORY OPPORTUNITIES
Christmas for the Community – We’re collecting toys for the Friends of Jesus Toy Drive, and we’re also collecting canned goods for MobilizeMKE’s 12 Days of Christmas initiative. You can drop off wrapped toys, as well as pick up and return food drive boxes through THIS WEEKEND. Learn more about both of these options by clicking here.
A Christmas Gift for YOU – We want to help your Christmas worship experience be full of light and joy. For those attending Christmas Eve worship online, you can pick up your Christmas gift from Victory on Sunday, December 20 between 2:00 and 4:00pm. This will be a contactless, drive-thru pick-up. This opportunity is open to people of all ages!
Benefits of Giving in 2020 – We give to support Victory and other charitable organizations because Christ’s love compels us to do so (2 Cor. 5:14). This year, there have also been adjustments to tax laws which makes charitable giving beneficial for those who give. Individuals who do not itemize their deductions can reduce their taxable income by up to $300 when they make cash gifts to qualified charities such as Victory of the Lamb. Individuals who do itemize also can see increased benefits on their taxes for charitable giving. We encourage you, if you are able, to make a year-end donation to Victory to support our mission to reach today’s people with Christ’s victory. Thank you for your generosity.
