PASTOR’S MESSAGE

Dear Friends,

Is our Christmas hope real? Or is it just a delusion or wishful thinking?

You might have gotten your hopes up in the past. Maybe you’ve put your hope in a family member and they let you down. Or maybe you put your hope in a new job, diet, or relationship, and it didn’t turn out the way you wanted.

Because our hopes have been dashed in the past, maybe we’re not ready to put our complete hope in Jesus.

That’s why this Sunday, I am going to discuss the barriers that we put up that keep us from enjoying real hope in Jesus. More than that, I pray that God shows up in a powerful way through his Word so that we experience the hope that he is offering us.

But you don’t have to wait until Sunday. Right now, pray with your arms open, asking Jesus to let his hope be born in you today.

I hope to see you in person or online this weekend at 9:00 or 10:30am.

Reaching today’s people with Christ’s victory,

Pastor Ben

CURRENT SERIES – HOPE

ICYMI – Last Sunday, Pastor Bill continued the Hope series. Hope has the power to change everything. Even though in many instances the circumstances do not change, how we view them does when we see them through the hope given to us through Jesus.  Click here to read or watch last Sunday’s message.

Coming Up This Sunday – This weekend, Pastor Ben leads into Christmas with a message explaining that hope is real. As we engage in hopefulness, our lives take on a new meaning, new concept, and quite a new purpose. Join us on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at church or online. You can also check out the Spotify playlist for the series here.

VICTORY OPPORTUNITIES

Help Us Welcome Christmas Guests! – Christmas Eve is the number one day in the year for guests to attend church. We encourage you to follow a few simple guidelines to help make Christmas at Victory a positive experience for our guests. If you are able, please carpool with family members to the service to make sure we have adequate parking. When you arrive, we encourage those who are able to park in the far lot. Also, you are encouraged to come early and sit in the middle of the row in the worship space to leave the end seats open for guests. Thank you for reaching today’s people with Christ’s victory through these simple actions!

How to Read the Bible Class – Save the date! Pastor Ben will help you kick off your New Year on the right foot with this one-hour opportunity on Wednesday, January 8 from 6:30-7:30pm. You’ll learn the basic structure of the Bible, discover some tools you can use to read God’s word, and understand how to use the readings to build your relationship with God. No RSVP needed!
