Victory News – December 7, 2018

Dear Friends,

Christmas traditions. We all have them.

Some of us have the tradition of opening up Christmas presents on Christmas Eve, while others of us open presents on Christmas Day. Some have the tradition of colored lights on the tree, while others only do white. For some, Christmas traditions revolve around the homemade cookies or candies. For some, it is the tradition of having everybody home. I’m sure you are already thinking of a number of traditions you and your family have.

Remember, there are Christmas traditions… and then there is Christmas truth. The truth is that God took on human flesh to be a very real Savior that we all really need. When the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. (Galatians 4:4-5)

Enjoy the traditions that you have, but be sure you don’t worship the traditions. Worship the Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life.

You are invited to worship with us this Sunday at 9:00am or 10:30am in person or online.

Sharing Christ’s Victory,

Pastor Bill

Toy Drive Ends This Sunday – Sunday is the last day you can bring a toy for the Friends of Jesus Toy Drive.  There will be a box in the lobby for you to drop off wrapped presents.
