MESSAGE OF ENCOURAGEMENT
What a week, huh? A huge snow storm, followed by an arctic blast of cold, sent nearly the whole state of Wisconsin into a state of shutdown. School and business closures significantly altered or eliminated many people’s daily routines.
While this disruption was a wide-spread phenomenon affecting millions of people, alterations to routines happen at an individual level all the time. It is easy to fall into the trap of believing that God doesn’t care about you when you’re struggling with a difficult medical diagnosis, unemployment, conflict with family or friends, or any other disruption to your status quo.
Don’t let this train of thought trap you. In times of trial, we can rely on God’s word to instill confidence of His unfaltering promises in our hearts. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
Fear not, my brothers and sisters in Christ. I invite you to join us this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at church or online to learn more about God’s promises for you.
Sharing God’s victory through Christ,
Sammi Goodger (for Pastor Bill)
CURRENT SERIES – LIVING FORWARD

Coming Up This Sunday – Pastor Bob will continue our Living Forward series with a message about remaining calm and loving our persecutors. We can do this with confidence that God provides and cares for us. Join us on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at church or online.
Pastoral Care – For the next week or so, Pastor Bill will be out of town due to a family emergency. Please pray for Pastor Bill and his family. In his absence, please contact Frosty Bivens, a retired pastor and Victory member, if you need pastoral care. He can be reached at (414) 484-3778 or by email.
Lost and Found – Our Lost and Found box is overflowing! We will display these items, along with unclaimed dishes from those who donated to the Cafe, in the lobby at church for the first two Sundays in February. After that, we will donate any remaining items to Goodwill so they find a good home. Make sure to take a look for anything you may have lost.
Small Groups Launching Soon! – We’re excited to announce that we have 10 new leaders trained and excited to launch new small groups! To help you get connected and grow in your faith at Victory, small groups will launch again on Sunday, February 24. Stay tuned for more information.
Foundations Courses Starting Soon – Foundations is an opportunity for those who are new to Victory to learn the basic teachings of the Bible in an interactive, small-group format. Your next opportunity to get involved in Foundations is Saturday, Feb. 9 and 16 from 8:30am-12:00pm each day. We’ll cover all 6 topics from Foundations in this 2-day format. Click here to register for the course.
Happy Hands and Heads – Scott and Kerry Nelson, members of our Victory community, are sponsoring “Happy Hand and Heads”, a hat and mitten drive for children ages 5-12. From now through the end of February, please bring new hats and mittens to church. Please place them in the donation box in the Welcome area. Scott and Kerry will donate these items to local schools to give to children in need of winter clothing items. For more information, go to the Happy Hands and Heads card, or contact Scott and Kerry.
