Victory News – February 19, 2021

Hi Friends,

This week we start our new series called Detox. Don’t worry; we won’t be requiring anyone to drink green shakes or do a juice cleanse. But we will be encouraging everyone to detox our minds and hearts from the toxic culture.
Our culture has been poisoned with immorality, selfishness, pride, and scandal. Unfortunately, the world’s venom has sunk its teeth into even the Christian church. I wish I could say that just becoming a Christian and joining a church protects you from all the sinful ideas and patterns of the world. But that is just not true. You will find sin in the church just like you will find it outside the church because sin resides in every human heart.
This doesn’t mean we need to give into toxic ideas. Just like the liver is always detoxifying the body, the body of believers is always meditating on God’s word in order to renew minds and hearts. I want to encourage you to worship with us this weekend at the ministry center or online so that we can let God cleanse us from the inside out.

Hope to see you for worship this weekend on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am. You can worship at Victory, on our live stream site, or on our YouTube channel.

Reaching today’s people with Christ’s victory,

Pastor Ben
