Victory News – February 4, 2022

Hi Friends,

Have you ever asked someone in amazement, “How did you know to do that?” And they shrug their shoulders because they just did it. Or maybe someone has asked you, “How can you do that so easily?” And you are perplexed. You don’t know how. You just do it. It comes naturally or, maybe better said, supernaturally.

Some people seem more gifted than others. They might excel in music, sports, academics, or business. Some might even seem more “spiritually gifted” than others, with greater knowledge of the Bible or the ability to do greater works of service than others.

This week, as we continue our series Foolproof, we’ll to see what the Holy Spirit guided Paul to teach us about spiritual gifts. And because we, like the original audience, live in an individualistic culture, some of what Paul is going to say is going to be shocking. But it is actually God’s foolproof way to connect and grow His Church.

Can’t wait to see you! You’re invited to worship this weekend on Sunday at 9:00 & 10:30am. You can worship at Victory, on our live stream site, or on our YouTube channel.

Reaching today’s people with Christ’s victory,

Pastor Bill

ICYMI – Last weekend, Pastor Ben dove into the meaning and importance of the Lord’s Supper. In this meal, we are one with God and one with each other. God promises to “remember our sins no more” as we follow His wisdom. You can click here to read and watch this message.

Coming Up This Weekend – Pastor Bill helps us understand how God wants us to use the gifts He gives us. Paul taught that all our gifts are to be used in love to serve the body of believers. God’s wisdom shows us that our gifts are meaningless without love. You can join in these services on Sunday at 9:00 & 10:30am at Victory, on our live stream site, or our YouTube channel.

SOUPer Bowl Food Drive – Get ready for the Super Bowl by helping us fight hunger in our community! Victory is collecting canned goods at the Ministry Center to benefit the Muskego Food Pantry. Bring items to worship on February 6 or 13. Or, you can call the office at 414-433-9790 to arrange a drop-off time during the week (February 7-12). Click here for a list of the items most needed by the Muskego Food Pantry or to make a financial contribution directly to them.

Pre-Marriage Seminar – If you and your significant other are preparing to tie the knot, make sure to include this pre-marriage seminar in your wedding preparations! This group counseling course, run by Pastor Bill, is designed for couples who are engaged or considering engagement to get to know each other and grow in faith together as they plan for married life. The next opportunity is coming up on Saturday, March 5. To learn more and register, click here.

LINKED Celebration – This weekend, we’ll have special goodies in the Victory Cafe to celebrate the conclusion of our LINKED campaign. Leaders of the LINKED committee will give a brief update on the campaign at the end of each service. Thank you for your generosity!

Free N95 Masks Available – Thanks to the Franklin Health Department, we have N95 masks available for you and your family… for free! Pick up a 5 pack of masks at Victory during worship, or email the office to arrange a time to come pick them up. Limited supplies are still available.

Year-End Giving Statements – Thank you all for your generosity! If you gave to Victory in 2021, you should have received an email with a secure link to access your 2021 Giving Statement. However, for security reasons, that link has expired. If you need this link re-sent, want a printed copy to pick or or be mailed to you, or have any issues with your giving statement, please call the office at 414-433-9790 or email Laura.
