Victory News – February 7, 2020

Hi Friends,

Last night I asked Jacky, “What’s for supper?”

She responded, “Remember, I told you we were going to have left-overs.”

My heart sank. I mean, the meals throughout the week were good, but I just wasn’t in the mood for eating food that was staining the bottom and the sides of the Glad containers with an orange tint.

Moments later, Jacky went to the refrigerator to grab all the containers for the random mix and match meal, she found a real “chef’s surprise.” No leftovers! (I told you the food was good!) She called out, “I guess there are no left-overs. How about Chick-Fil-A?”

And all God’s people said, “Amen.” I mean, “I guess that will be okay,” I said smiling. And I scurried out the door to follow the cow’s advice to “eat mor chikin.”

What is supper time like for your family?

Truth be told sometimes supper time and other times are messy in our families. That is why this Sunday we are kicking off a new series called Messy Families. In this series, we are going to look at some key families in the Bible. We will see their strange family situations, what went wrong, how God uses these families for his plan, and most importantly, how God uses our messy families to show the power of His grace . . . through it ALL!

This will be a great series to invite people who are facing times of struggle, in the midst of conflict, don’t know which way to turn, or who are in the middle of some other messiness of life.

So I invite you to join me. And I invite you to invite others to join us.

I hope to see you in person or online this weekend at 9:00 or 10:30am.

Sharing Christ’s victory,

Pastor Bill
