MESSAGE OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Dear Friends,

Did anyone watch the Super Bowl last week? I watched the first half of it. But, like a lot of Americans, I was underwhelmed. The commercials weren’t that funny. The half-time show wasn’t entertaining. Honestly, the game itself lacked action and drama.

This phenomenon is quite common, isn’t it? We often build events and situations up in our heads, only to be let down by reality. There’s only one place we can be sure won’t disappoint us: Heaven.

In the letter he wrote to his fellow Christians in Philippi, Paul encourages them to keep their faith even when faced with persecution: But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body (Philippians 3:21-20).

Keep your eyes on Jesus; he will never disappoint you.  Being with Jesus for eternity is definitely something to which you can look forward.

Sharing Christ’s victory,

Sammi Goodger (for Pastor Bill)
