PASTOR’S MESSAGE
Hi Friends,
This week I will be answering the question: What does God say about divorce? In preparation for this message, I reached out to several people inside and outside our congregation who have gone through a divorce.
And there was one common thread in all the responses: shame. It didn’t matter who was primarily at fault in the divorce, both parties felt shame and a sense of failure.
Because of your responses, I want to change my focus. I don’t just want to answer the question “What does God say about divorce?”. Instead, I want to answer the question: “What does God think about divorced people?”
I want to address the feelings of loss, regret, guilt, and hopelessness. And the good news is, Jesus himself speaks directly to a divorced person suffering with these feelings.
If you are willing, I would be interested in hearing your story as well. Maybe you or someone you know has gone through a divorce. Obviously, I will keep your name and the details of your story confidential. You can reply to this email or call me at 414-380-2090.
You’re invited to join us for worship this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am. You can worship at Victory, on our live stream site, or on our YouTube channel.

CURRENT SERIES: gLAD YOU ASKED
ICYMI – Guest Pastor Bob Johannes continued the series discussing the topic and questions around sin and where sin came from. To answer the most common questions about the origin of sin, we dove into the book of Revelations to see how and why sin has been defeated. To read and watch the message, click here.
Coming Up This Weekend – Pastor Ben will be answering your questions about divorce. Marriages are tricky relationships because of our sinful nature. We’ll read and study Jesus’ explanation of marriage and why God allowed Moses to permit divorce by diving into Matthew 19:1-9. VICTORY STORIES
Franklin Civic Celebration – Thank you to all of those who volunteered at the Franklin Civic Celebration on July 4. Participating in community events like the parade provides incredible opportunities for Victory to make a difference in our community.
