Every time I walk into a gas station, it seems there are more and more coolers are dedicated to energy drinks. It used to be just Red Bull. Then there was Monster. Now half of the gas station is energy drinks.
I like coffee and other energy drinks as much as anyone, but I wonder if all supercharged beverages are pointing to a deeper problem. Maybe the reason we are grumpy, irritable, and sluggish is not because we didn’t get an extra-tall-mocha-latte. Maybe we are missing out on the fuel God is offering us.
The Apostle Paul says that when we are fueled by God the Holy Spirit, then we will begin to show love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control. That’s why we are inviting you to make worship a priority, especially during this sermon series called Fueled. We don’t just want to serve you great coffee at the Victory Cafe. We want the Holy Spirit to energize your spirit with the love of Christ.
See you this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am, in person or online.
Sharing Christ’s love and victory,
CURRENT SERIES – FUELED
ICYMI – Last Sunday, Pastor Ben shared a message about peace. True peace comes from God, from immersing ourselves in his promises and knowing that his love for us never fails. Click here to view or read last Sunday’s message.
Coming Up This Sunday – This weekend, Pastor Bob Johannes will share a message about patience. We lack patience to see people and situations for what they truly are: opportunities to show and share the love of Jesus. God demonstrates the most extreme patience with us, forgiving our sins over and over. Join us on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at church or online.
Pastoral Care – Pastor Bill and Pastor Ben will be out of town this weekend. If you are in need of pastoral care, Pastor Bob Johannes will be available to support you this weekend. He can be reached via email or at 920-860-5078.

4th of July Parade Support – This year, rather than having a parade float, Victory will serve the Franklin community for the Civic Celebration Parade by handing out water bottles to those who participate in the parade on July 4. We are in need of water donations and people to hand them out from 11:00am-1:00pm at Lions Legend Park. If you are able to serve your community in this way, click here to sign up. (NOTE: You will need to log into MyVOTL to sign up to donate or help.)
Meetings with Pastor Ben – Pastor Ben is making himself available during the months of June and July to get to know the Victory Community and gather feedback about Victory. We encourage you and your family to sign up for a time. (Kids are welcome to join you!) Each session will be up to 45 minutes, and up to five families can sign up for each session. We’ll meet at Victory in the elementary room. Click here to sign up for a meeting time.
Soccer Camp… We Need YOU – If you are wondering whether or not we could use your help for this year’s Soccer Camp, the answer is YES! The 12th Annual Soccer Camp is scheduled for July 8-11 from 1:00-4:30pm each day at Polonia Soccer Club. We need YOU to volunteer as a coach, registration support person, or food preparation person to serve the 150 kids currently registered for Soccer Camp. Click here to sign up to help at the camp as a volunteer. Whether you can help for one day or for the whole camp, we appreciate your support.
