Victory News – June 22, 2018

Hi Friends,

As I write this, I stand at my kitchen counter, beaming with excitement because I am so blessed to be a part of the Victory family and community. God has richly blessed us in the past, and the opportunities that are in front of us to share the love of Jesus are abundant.

We have some new ministries just starting (Men’s Circle) or getting ready to start (Stepping Stones) to help us take another step closer to our Savior. Thank you for your donations to the Guest House and to Soccer Camp too! Keep looking for opportunities to make a difference in our great community and pray about who you can invite to worship to meet Jesus as well.

I have been reading this great book this week, and I can’t wait to tell you about it on Sunday. See you in person or online.

Sharing Christ’s Victory with you,

Pastor Bill

CURRENT SERIES – Unshakeable

ICYMI – Last weekend, we wrapped up our Ordinary People, Extraordinary God series with a message called “Failing Forward”. It’s not about being perfect, because only Jesus is perfect.  It’s about learning from your sins and growing closer to God through them. Click here to view this message.

Coming Up This Sunday – We’ll kick off our sermons series Unshakeable this weekend with a message called “I Love This Place!” Coming to church so you can sit and listen to God’s word IS doing something important. Join us at 8:30 or 10:15 am at church or online.

Soccer Camp – Soccer Camp starts on Monday! There are still several opportunities for getting involved. You can sign up to donate snacks here or donate items for the cookout here.  Items can be dropped off at church in the multipurpose room on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday this weekend. Also, we have lots of set-up opportunities as well during the weekend before Soccer Camp.  If you’re able to help at any time between Friday and Sunday, sign up here. Thank you to all who have volunteered and donated items! This event would not be possible without your support.

Tuition Assistance Program – To see the tuition assistance guidelines and download an application, visit the Christian Education page of our website. Applications for the 2018-2019 school year are due June 30. To contribute to this fund, go to our online giving page. Under “Select Fund” click on Tuition Assistance.

Franklin Civic Celebration Parade – Victory of the Lamb will get out into the community and share Jesus with the people of Franklin by participating in the parade on July 4 at 11am.  The parade travels north along Loomis Rd. (north of Hwy. 100) and ends near Lions Legend Park.  We need lots of Victory friends sharing smiles and representing our church while walking along the parade float.  If you are unable to walk in the parade but still want to participate, you can help out by driving shuttles from the church to the parade and back, or donating candy to be handed out to those watching the parade. Email the office if you’re interested in driving a shuttle.

Brewers Game – Save the Date! On Friday, August 3, join Victory of the Lamb at Miller Park to watch the Brewers take on the Rockies starting at 7:10pm. Stay tuned for information on how you can purchase your tickets.

Guest House Donation – As part of our Father’s Day celebration, Victory of the Lamb collected items to donate to Guest House of Milwaukee, a local organization that provides homeless men with a home, meals, training, and counseling to get them back on their feet. We collected 3 pairs of shoes, 4 comforters, 33 pairs of underwear, 63 toiletry items, and 67 shirts.  Additionally, Victory of the Lamb will send a financial contribution to support this mission.  Thank you for your generosity to support our church and our community! We look forward to partnering with them again in the future.
