Chick-Fil-A was just rated as the best fast food chain for the fourth year in a row. Chick-Fil-A has become the third-largest restaurant chain in the United States by sales, even though it is not open on Sundays. Despite the fact that owner Truett Cathy was told he would never make it in the restaurant business if he wasn’t open on Sundays, the restaurant is not open on Sundays because of Cathy’s conviction to honor the Lord’s day. As you know, Sunday is a day when many people eat out.
In essence, Cathy’s response was, “Well, if I can’t make a living in six days in the restaurant business, then God must not want me to be in the restaurant business.” That’s conviction.
Today we live in a world that is based more on convenience than conviction. But God isn’t calling us to a life of convenience; he is calling us to a life fueled by the Spirit that leads to faithful obedience. And that kind of life stands out because it is so uncommon.
That’s why we are inviting you to join us and bring a family member or friend for worship. See you this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am, in person or online.
Sharing Christ’s love and victory,
