God has given your life meaning and purpose through your callings. Some of you are called to be students. Others are called to be employees or employers. Some of you are called to be parents. Many of you are called to be husbands and wives. The calling of marriage will be the focus of our sermon this weekend.
This is a unique calling, but not the most important one. Our most important calling is to be a child of God to reflect God’s glory to the world. Yet, those who are called to be husbands and wives play a vital role in God’s kingdom. Not only is a healthy marriage good for the family and the community but, more importantly, a healthy marriage preaches an important message to the world. You see, husbands and wives are to live in such a way as to reflect the relationship between Christ and his Church.
According to the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5, when husbands sacrificially love their wives and wives respect their husbands, the world sees an example of the beautiful relationship between God and His people. For those of you who are married, I want to encourage you to take this high calling seriously. Do everything you can to reflect the cosmic relationship of Jesus and his bride. For those of you who are single, look to healthy marriages as a picture of the much deeper relationship that you have with your Savior.

CURRENT SERIES – CALLED
ICYMI – Last weekend, Pastor Bill kicked off the new series Called with a message about motherhood. God has called mothers not only to create new life, but to nurture, care, and guide God’s children so that they might bless thousands of generations. You can click here to read and watch this message.
Coming Up This Weekend – Pastor Ben continues the series by diving into what God’s word says about the calling of being a spouse. God calls husbands and wives to love and respect one another. This is so that they can have a fruitful marriage, but more importantly so that they might show the world the marriage between Christ and his Church. Join us for worship on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at the Ministry Center, on our live stream site, or our YouTube channel.
