Victory News – May 21, 2021

Hi Friends,

As a teenager was getting ready to leave for prom, his father and mother stopped and prayed with him. The father prayed that his Son would enjoy the evening, that the time spent with others would be a blessing to him and to them.  As the limo pulled up, his father said, “Son, don’t forget whose son you are.”

In our baptisms, God poured out his grace on us and adopted us into his family. We are his children… what a blessing!  See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God (1 John 3:1). And that is what we are.

God has designed the family a certain way on purpose. As we continue our series Called this weekend, we will look at God’s calling for children. I’m excited for this time in God’s Word because no matter how old we are, we are God’s children and God has a message for us.

Hope to see you for worship this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am. You can worship at Victory, on our live stream site, or on our YouTube channel.

Reaching today’s people with Christ’s victory,

Pastor Bill

ICYMI – Last weekend, Pastor Ben continued the series by diving into what God’s word says about the calling of being a spouse. God calls husbands and wives to love and respect one another. This is so that they can have a fruitful marriage, but more importantly so that they might show the world the marriage between Christ and his Church. . You can click here to read and watch this message.

Coming Up This Weekend –  Pastor Bill continues the series with a message about the calling of children. God calls children to obey their parents, promising blessing with this command. Join us for worship on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at the Ministry Center, on our live stream site, or our YouTube channel.
