Victory News – May 28, 2021

Hi Friends,

The famous psychologist Victor Frankl used to say, “A person who has a WHY to live for can endure any HOW.” What he meant is that we are purpose-driven creatures. We need to believe that what we do matters or we will eventually give up. Do you always find meaning and purpose in the work that you do? Or do you sometimes find yourself wondering, Does what I do really matter?

One way to find purpose in your work is to remember that you are a part of a larger story. You are not just working a job for your boss. You are serving the humans God made as His representatives. You are not just selling a product for your company; you are offering a service in the name of Jesus. You are not just teaching children to read; you are caring for God’s precious progeny. Your work always has meaning because God is using it as a part of his grand narrative that finds its climax in the story of Christ.

Hope to see you for worship this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am. You can worship at Victory, on our live stream site, or on our YouTube channel.

Reaching today’s people with Christ’s victory,

Pastor Ben

ICYMI – Last weekend, Pastor Bill continued the series with a message about the calling of children. God calls children to obey their parents, promising blessing with this command. You can click here to read and watch this message.

Coming Up This Weekend – Pastor Ben switches gears a bit with a message about God’s call to employees. We can find encouragement when we realize that, ultimately, it is God we work for. Join us for worship on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at the Ministry Center, on our live stream site, or our YouTube channel.
