Victory News – May 7, 2021

Hi Friends,

This weekend we are beginning a new series entitled Called: Finding Your Role in God’s Work.

In this series, we will see that God has called us to our specific roles in life to do His work. He is the one who has called us to be mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, employers, employees, and citizens. No matter who we are, we all have a role to carry out in God’s kingdom.

This Sunday, we are going to look at the role that could be described in these ways: CEO of the family business, personal chef, hairstylist, family court judge, finance manager, activities coordinator, speech therapist, counselor with a PhD in anger management and a minor in waste management, a director of research in child and adolescent behavior, a first responder to skinned knees, broken bones, and broken hearts. In other words, we are going to look at God’s role of motherhood.

Hope to see you for worship this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am. You can worship at Victory, on our live stream site, or on our YouTube channel.

Reaching today’s people with Christ’s victory,

Pastor Bill

ICYMI – Last weekend, Pastor Ben wrapped up the series with a message about how hope in Jesus guides you through life. Even when your life didn’t turn out as you expected it, when you aren’t sure how to make it through your day … Jesus is with you, bringing you hope for life. You can click here to read and watch this message.

Coming Up This Weekend – Pastor Bill kicks off the new series, Called: Finding Your Role in God’s Work with a message about motherhood. God has called mothers not only to create new life, but to nurture, care, and guide God’s children so that they might bless thousands of generations. We’ll also be celebrating moms with a reading and a photo booth! Join us for worship on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at the Ministry Center, on our live stream site, or our YouTube channel.

Mask Policy Update (Effective THIS WEEKEND) – Victory’s Leadership Team has decided to make changes to our mask policy. We continue to ask everyone in the building to wear masks while moving around the building. However, starting May 9, you may feel free to remove your mask/face covering while seated and socially distanced from those outside your household. These changes have been reviewed and deemed acceptable by the Franklin Health Department. Questions, comments, or concerns regarding this policy change can be directed to the Leadership Team (leadershipteam@victoryofthelamb.com).

Confirmation and Baptisms – Last weekend, Victory had the privilege of baptizing four children and confirming 11 young adults. Congratulations to all of these families for these important steps in faith!
