PASTOR’S MESSAGE

Dear Friends,

It is that time of year when we cover up with a blanket and sip on a cup of coffee or hot chocolate to stay warm and comfortable.

Sometimes as Christians, we cover up what is really going on in our lives. We cover up our hurts by avoiding them and keeping busy. To try to cover up our sins, we do good works. We try to cover up our cold hearts by becoming upset with other people’s sins while minimizing our own sins. And yet, there are other times when we think our sin has left us out in the cold, far away from God.

Avoidance, good works, and anger don’t really cover up our sins. And God has good news for all of us who think we are looking for the warmth of forgiveness. We have forgiveness through the person and work of Jesus Christ.  Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered (Psalm 32:1).

In Jesus you are covered and blessed!

Sharing Christ’s Victory,

Pastor Bill
