PASTOR’S MESSAGE

Hi Friends,

Some of have left the Christian Church because they heard that Christianity hinders scientific progress. But Scripture shows that Jesus loved the natural world and taught us to investigate it so that we might know the Creator even better. When we look at Jesus’ words, we will be encouraged to study science, and discover how the world works.

Did you know that many leading scientists of today are Christians? Francis S. Collins, a physician and the geneticist behind the Human Genome Project, is the director of the National Institutes of Health. He is also founder of the BioLogos Foundation (biologos.org), a group that fosters discussions about the intersection of Christianity and science. Collins has said, “Science and faith can actually be mutually enriching and complementary once their proper domains are understood and respected.”

This weekend we will continue our series Before You Lose Your Faith. Our topic this weekend will be Science and Christianity..

Hope to see you for worship this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am, in person or online.  Feel free to invite a family member or friend to join you. You can worship at Victory, on our live stream site, or on our YouTube channel.

Reaching today’s people with Christ’s victory,

Pastor Bill

CURRENT SERIES – BEFORE YOU LOSE YOUR FAITH

ICYMI – Last weekend, Pastor Ben continued the series with a message about God’s judgment. When we study Jesus’ words on eternal judgment, we find that this message is good for society as it keeps us from being the judges and inflicting vengeance on our enemies. You can click here to read and watch this message.

Coming Up This Weekend –  Pastor Bill wraps up the series with a message about science. When we look at Jesus’ words, we will actually be encouraged to study science, discovering out the world works. Join us for worship on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at Victory on our live stream site or our YouTube channel.
