Is your tree up? Real or artificial? Are your lights white or colored? What kinds of ornaments do you have? Maybe they are made by the kids, ones that were gifts, or maybe some are family heirlooms. Do you have a star, angel, or something else on top? Maybe you have ribbon on your tree. Do you like how it looks?
On Good Friday, the tree was real. There were no lights. In fact, it got really dark that day. Jesus was placed on the tree, not with ornament hooks but with nails and topped with a crown of thorns. Ribbons of blood flowed down. It was a horrible-looking tree. On it, not under it, was the greatest gift of all: Jesus.
“God and sinners reconciled.” Love came down! Peace between God and mankind happened on Christ’s tree.
Sharing Christ’s Victory,
CURRENT SERIES – IMITATING GOD: LIVING GENEROUSLY
ICYMI – Last weekend, Pastor Bill explained that we don’t give to God because we feel guilty or because of a mandate; we give to God out of thankfulness and appreciation for all He has done for us. Click here to view this message.
Coming Up This Sunday – This weekend, Pastor Bill will wrap up our Imitating God series with a message about our mission. Join us on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at church or online.
LINKED Campaign – This weekend, Victory of the Lamb will launch an exciting opportunity: LINKED. LINKED is a 3-year campaign focused on making substantial impacts in our community by helping our neighbors in need and sharing God’s great news with our community. If you did not receive a packet in the mail, you can pick one up at church on Sunday. We look forward to seeing what God has in store for our church and our community through this campaign!
Chair Moving – After the 10:30am service on Sunday, December 2, we will move all the chairs out of the worship space to prepare for a carpet cleaning. Then, on Tuesday, December 4 at 6:30pm, we’ll move them all back in. If you’re able to help with moving chairs after church on Sunday or on Tuesday night, we’d love your help! The more people we have, the faster the work is done.
Toy Drive – From now through December 9, Victory of the Lamb will participate in the Friends of Jesus Toy Drive. There will be a box in the lobby for you to drop off wrapped presents. Make sure to grab a yellow sheet from the lobby to indicate what’s underneath the wrapping. You can click here to sign up to bring a toy.
Drop + Shop – Victory of the Lamb will host a FREE Drop + Shop event on Saturday, December 8 from 9-11am. We need YOU to make this outreach event a success! To volunteer for the event, click here. There are opportunities to serve with elementary and toddler-aged children, prepare snacks, register kids, and much more. If you want to register your kids for the event, click here. The registration deadline is next Wednesday!

You can now reserve your appointment online,or call BloodCenter at 877-232-4376. Appointments encouraged, and refreshments provided. Orders must be placed by December 14, and you can take your poinsettia(s) home any time after the Christmas Day service. Each plant is $18. Thank you for decorating our worship space and lobby!
#becauseofJesus – On Thanksgiving Eve, we handed out almost $3,000 in a reverse offering during the service with instructions to “spill it” to others during the next two weeks. Some people have given money to strangers, bought meals for others, or donated money to fund projects like well-building in a third-world country. Make sure to share how you “spilled it” with us; post your story on social media with #becauseofJesus, or email your story to us. We can’t wait to share your #becauseofJesus stories!
