Victory News – November 6, 2020

Hi Friends,

The recent election is just one more thing to add to the year of uncertainty. At the time of my writing this post, we still don’t know who will be our next president. This has led some of us to a new level of anxiety and fear.

Although we don’t know who is going to be our president and what all the implications of that might be, we do know who is in charge. In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, he says that the Father has seated Jesus at his right hand, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way (Ephesians 1:21-23).

When we remember that Jesus reigns over all kingdoms and nations, we experience a sense of peace and hope. Not only that, but this message has the power to unify us all together as one people, united under Christ.

That’s why it’s so important that we worship together each week, in-person or online. Worship is a testimony to Jesus’ authority and our unity in him.

I look forward to worshiping with you this weekend in person or online this Saturday at 5:00pm or Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am.

Sharing Christ’s victory,

Pastor Ben
