Victory News – November 8, 2019

Dear Friends,

Life is full of ups and downs, of good and bad.

You make the team and you feel good. You get cut and you feel bad. The Packers win and you feel good. The Packers lose and you feel bad. You get the job promotion and you feel good. You don’t get the job promotion and you feel bad. The dinner you make tastes good and you feel good. The dinner doesn’t turn out so well and you feel bad. The kids listen to you and you feel good. The kids don’t listen to you and you feel like a failure.

Our circumstances are always changing.

Here is someone and something that is always steady and consistent and good: Jesus. Jesus and his love for you never changes. It is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And Jesus came so your joy might be complete!

This weekend at Victory, we are going to talk about our core value of fun and joy.

Join us for worship this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am in person or online.

Reaching today’s people with Christ’s victory,

Pastor Bill

ICYMI – Last Sunday, Pastor Ben continued the series with a message about being welcoming. When we say one of our core values is to be welcoming, we mean that we share life together through worship, small groups, serving, and meeting the needs of the people in our church and our community. Click here to read or watch last Sunday’s message.

Coming Up This Sunday – This weekend, Pastor Bill will share a message about joy and fun. Worshiping Jesus isn’t always easy. It means sacrifice. It may even lead to persecution. And yet, we can worship the Lord with joy, even in the face of persecution, because God gives us strength and hope. Join us on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at church or online. You can also check out the Spotify playlist for the series here.
