As Christians living in the United States, we have a unique privilege that many people throughout history did not have: the privilege of voting.
As a Christian, what are you using to inform your voting? Are you using TV ads? TV shows on FOX, CNN, MSNBC? social media ads? your friend’s opinion? the platforms of each party? the debates? How about the Bible?
God is going to use you and me to re-elect or elect the President of the United States. Whoever wins, we only have one recourse, biblically-speaking: Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established (Romans 13:1). Although we have the privilege to vote people into office, God is the one who established our governing authorities.
God’s blessing as you vote.
I’m looking forward to worshiping with you this weekend as we continue our series United: In Jesus We Trust. We will look at Ephesians chapter 2 and find out that, in the middle of all of our differences, we have two things in common. Can’t wait to share those commonalities with you.
I look forward to worshiping with you this weekend in person or online this Saturday at 5:00pm or Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am.
Sharing Christ’s victory,
