PASTOR’S MESSAGE

Dear Friends,

It was pouring rain earlier today. Have you ever felt like you have a flood of difficulties and problems in your life? Maybe that storm is emotional, financial, health-related or relational. Maybe it is the stress and demands of family life or the burden of loneliness.

Sometimes in life we magnify our problems and minimize our God. We think and feel like the storms in life are bigger than our God. The $1 billion in damage from our storm looks monumental when we see God as a quarter; we think there’s no way God can repair the damage. But it is much the opposite. God is bigger. He even conquered the storm of death.

So as you are going through the storms of life, don’t forget about the storm stiller, your Savior Jesus. Remember what Jesus did for the apostles in the storm-tossed boat. “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” [Jesus] got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm (Mark 4:38:39).

Whether you are going through a storm or not, Jesus is with you!

God bless!

Pastor Bill

VICTORY NEWS

October Bible Study – Victory of the Lamb will offer a Bible Study series called, “Why Am I Here” in October. Sessions will meet in the Elementary classroom at the Ministry Center from 6:30-7:30pm every Wednesday in October.  The course will focus on the search of King Solomon when God guided him to ask important questions and provide necessary answers to everyone wrestling with the same basic issues today.  Professor Forrest “Frosty” Bivens will lead this interactive study. No RSVP needed.

Christmas is Coming! – It may be early October, but the Victory teams are already hard at work preparing for Christmas services and opportunities to serve our community during the holiday season.  Stay connected with us on Facebook, Instagram, and through this blog for announcements about Christmas activities and events.

VICTORY OPPORTUNITIES

Victory Cafe – At every service, Victory Cafe offers hospitality to our guests through serving food and drink.  One way you can get involved at Victory of the Lamb is through serving on this team.  We need many food donations each week and volunteers to prepare and serve items at the Cafe on Sundays. If you’re interested in getting involved in the Cafe through donating items or volunteering, click here to learn more and sign up.

Altar Flowers – Sign-up for Altar Flower sponsorship is now available for October through December. Click here to view available dates and reserve your altar flower sponsorship. The form will look different than if you’ve sponsored in the past; we’ve simplified the form to now include date reservations, payment, and recognition information all in one form. Thank you for beautifying our worship experience every Sunday!
