|Gospel joy in the morning|
This week was filled with many blessings as a number of new ministry opportunities successfully kicked off including my Breakfast and Bible Study early Monday morning and our Victory Moms group on Thursday morning. I was overjoyed to have 12 (smiling even!) people join me at 5:45 am at the break of day as we began studying Philippians—talking about how to sustain joy in life. It was a great way to start a long, busy week. I was built up and encouraged by all who came!
Also 14 moms and twice as many kids came together to encourage each other, have fun, and play on Thursday morning. It was fun to see a parking lot made up entirely of minivans and crossovers! I was struck me just how important creating opportunities like this are when I saw one comment on Facebook that said: “Thankful today for Victory of the Lamb’s new Victory Moms group–it was the best thing I’ve done for myself in years.” Awesome…just awesome…and God be praised that we can use our ministry center to create experiences like that!
|There were more moms and kids than could fit in one picture!|
There are quite a few other new opportunities and events coming up soon so please see below and check them out! Let me know if you have any questions. Share with your friends and family members.
This Sunday we welcome one of my ministry mentors, our Mission Counselor Ed Schuppe, who will be a guest preacher. Those of you who’ve met Ed know he’ll be bringing a whole ton of energy and gospel joy! As always, everyone is invited to join us for worship Sunday morning whether at 9 or 10:45. Victory Kids during both.
Associate Pastor Call Meeting –Thanks for your attendance, questions, and feedback at our Open Forums last Sunday regarding our plans to call a second pastor. We are eager to move forward with the call process knowing it could take months depending on how quickly we find someone who will accept our call. Thus we’ve set next Sunday, April 24th, as our first call meeting where our Leadership Team meets with a representative of our Southeastern Wisconsin District to prayerfully call a second pastor. See the attached FAQ document (same as last week) for a few brief answers to a lot of the questions we have received about the process of calling our second pastor. Please feel free as always to reach out to anyone on the Leadership Team with questions.
