A number of years ago, a young man was very frustrated because God wasn’t answering his prayers the way he wanted God to answer them. So in his anger, he left. He walked away, quitting church and Christianity.
Last Sunday night, the Chicago Bears were pummeling the Green Bay Packers. It wasn’t even close. And the Packers’ best player was carted off the field before half time. A lot of Packer fans left the game, either by walking out of the stadium or by turning their televisions off. Whether you saw the game or not, I bet you know where this is going. Aaron Rodgers came back in the second half and the Packers rallied to win the game in the 4th quarter. It was a tremendous victory for the Packers and Packer fans, and a horrible loss for the Bears and Bear fans.
Like in the first story, people get mad at God. Tragedy happens, really tough stuff comes, and some people just don’t see the point of having God in their day-to-day and they walk away from Christianity. For those who leave there is loss, a horrible and eternal loss.
Don’t leave. Jesus has already won the victory over sin and its consequences, death and the devil. Victory is just around the corner. And the victory is eternal.
If you have left, I want you to know it is not too late to return. Jesus has stamped your hand with His inedible ink of blood. You are welcome to come back. So come on back. And get ready to celebrate the Victory.
Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:57-58).
Sharing Christ’s Victory,

Country Dale Elementary – We are proud to continue our community partnership with Country Dale Elementary. To start this school year, Victory of the Lamb donated $2,500 through the Adopt-A-Classroom program. We also gave all staff members at Country Dale a mug, candy and a message on the first day of school. Principal Shaunna LaPlant sent an email thanking us for the mugs: “Thank you so much for the awesome travel mugs and treats. My staff was thrilled with the gift. I lined them up in the lounge on the first day of school and they flew like hot cakes. This was a great way to start the year.” Thank you for your generosity, which allows Victory of the Lamb to share the love of Jesus with our community.
