Victory News – September 21, 2018

Dear Friends,

Allegations. Threats. It was a really tough week for Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh. All over what supposedly happened 35 years ago. I don’t know what happened 35 years ago between those two if anything. So I will not excuse or blame anyone.

But what if what you did in high school or college was brought to the public’s attention? How would that go for you? What if what you said, or even just thought about saying or doing in the past not just 35 years ago but this past week, how would that go for you?

You and I would be convicted of sin. In fact, God knows every single action, word and thought. He doesn’t excuse us, nor accuse us. Because of Jesus, he forgives us. Paul, and early Christian wrote at the direction of the Holy Spirit, In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace (Ephesians 1:7).

Have a great day. I hope to see you on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am.

Sharing Christ’s Victory,

Pastor Bill
