Victory News – September 27, 2019

Dear Friends,

From your perspective, what is the most scandalous thing in the news from this past week? What is the most jaw-dropping play from Thursday night’s Packers/Eagles game? What is the most outrageous teaching of Jesus?

This weekend in our Start With Jesus series, I am going to share with you what many people think is the most scandalous, jaw-dropping, outrageous teaching of Jesus.

I will give you a hint: sooner or later, you are going to run into someone who gets on your nerves and stomps on you more than once.  What are you to do with those who make your life miserable, hate you, persecute, and make fun of you? We are going to talk about what Jesus did and what Jesus teaches us to do when we run into that kind of situation in our life this Sunday. Heads up: it’s a “mic drop” kind of teaching.

Join us for worship this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am in person or online.

Sharing Christ’s love and victory,

Pastor Bill

ICYMI – Last Sunday, Pastor Ben continued the Start with Jesus series with a message about serving others. Jesus demonstrated how we should serve others selflessly, not expecting anything in return. What would our lives be like if we served others selflessly?  Click here to read or watch last Sunday’s message.

Coming Up This Sunday – This weekend, Pastor Bill continues the series with a message about love. Jesus loved all people, even those who caused him to suffer. Despite our sin, he loved us enough to die for us on the cross and take away our sins forever. How would our lives be different if we loved our enemies as we love our friends? Join us on Sunday at 9:00 or 10:30am at church or online.
