What do you think about when it is just you and God? What do you and your friends talk about when you go deep? Have you ever wondered where you came from? What your purpose is? Have you ever considered can anyone really tell what is right or wrong? Soul searching questions, aren’t they?
Last Sunday evening a man was in his hotel room in Las Vegas while 22,000 people were attending a concert about a quarter mile away. Somewhere along the way the man was “soul searching.” I submit to you, he didn’t find the answer or answers he needed. As of this writing, scores have died and hundreds are injured. The authorities are asking a lot of questions. And so are we. There is a lot of soul searching going on. Friends, Jesus has answers. In fact, Jesus is the answer. I encourage you to let Jesus speak into your lives as this weekend Pastor Ben will conclude our “Soul Searching” series with a message on “where do we go when we die?” I’m so excited for this message so I will give you a hint: God is going to make every sad thing come untrue! If you have missed any of the messages in this series you can find them on the sermon archive page at victoryofthelamb.com.
Partnership With Country Dale Elementary – We are starting a partnership with Country Dale elementary school in Franklin. Our first project is to provide items that are often needed by kids throughout the school year. In the past, where possible, teachers and staff would purchase and provide necessary items by themselves, just out of the kindness of their hearts. We are going to help them by providing the needed items for what they are calling the “Victory Kids Kit”. All that remains is 2 pairs of winter boots and 1 pair of gym shoes. Bring your items this Sunday to worship and place them in a box in the lobby marked Country Dale Elementary. Thanks for all your love and support for our community!
